SHORT WALKTHROUGHS

Five paths you can follow today

Each guide is a short sequence. Confirm every form, deadline, and address on the official court or agency page.

General legal information, not legal advice.

1. Find and fill a court form

  1. Read the on your paper. Write the state, county, and court name. Do not guess a different court.
  2. Open the court-form catalog and choose that state or the federal district named on the paper.
  3. Open the official file from the court site. Save a copy. Fill only the fields that apply to you.
  4. Have a licensed attorney or a court self-help center review the draft if you can. JustLegal does not file or serve the form.

  4. Write the next date the order mentions. Confirm the counting rule on that court's page. The tools do not calculate a deadline unless a published pack matches that court.
