Just Liberty · not a law firm
What do you need help doing?
Most people do not need a $5,000 retainer for the next step. They need someone to answer a question, look at a paper, send a letter, or show them the free court form. Pick the job. Then pick your state. A budget filter is there if you want it. You do not have to answer money questions to look.
Start with the job
Ask or understand something
A public question, a confidential written answer if you qualify, or a short consult. Often $0 to about $50. This is not someone appearing in court for you.
$150–$350Have someone look at something
A review of a letter, lease, contract, or motion you already have. Typical document review runs about $150–$350. The reviewer does not become your lawyer for the whole case.
$0–$150Make or send something
A will, a letter, a demand, or a standard form. Start with a free court form when the court publishes one. A paid template is for documents the court does not supply.
Court formsFile or respond to court papers
You were served, a hearing is on the calendar, or you need to file. Use the court’s own form, ask about a fee waiver, and watch the deadline. A $39 template is not a lawyer at a hearing.
$0–$500Set something up
A simple will, powers of attorney, an LLC, or an uncontested divorce workflow. Prices run from a free simple will to a few hundred dollars for a guided package.
MonthlyKeep a lawyer available
A monthly or yearly plan for questions over time. Read whether it auto-renews, what a “consult” includes, and whether anyone will go to court. Most plans do not include representation.

Look by what you can spend
This is a filter, not a gate. Free help is still listed beside paid help. The point is to see that a question, a form, or a document review can cost $0, $30, $80, or a few hundred dollars, and that none of those is the same thing as hiring a lawyer for the case.
